The greatest way to lead is through service to others, just as Jesus himself said in Matthew 20:28.
We are passionate about serving. The Refuge Church partners with various organizations to love those around us. We believe that as we serve our church, city, and our world, God will change it. If you would like to serve in-house at The Refuge Church, in the community, or internationally, we can help.
“Love Loud” is what we call serving in the church or outside its walls.

Love Loud In-House
Greeter Team
This team welcomes people to The Refuge Church at the front doors.
KIDZ Team
This team invests in the lives of children through leading in biblical teaching, planning seasonal performances, and events.

Nursery (The Nest), Preschool (The Treehouse), and Elementary (Fuel) Teams
These teams minister to children through Bible stories, hands- on activities, and personal interaction.

Thrive Student Ministry Team
This team helps students connect with other Refuge students through weekly gathering times, events, camps, and service opportunities.

Coffee Team
This team helps provide a welcoming environment while serving coffee.
Worship Team
This team facilitates a powerful worship experience through vocals, instruments, and audio engineering.

KIDZ Check-In Team
This team facilitates the check-in process for our KIDZ ministry to ensure children are cared for in a safe and secure manner.
Sign Team
This team helps with placing The Refuge Church street signs on the road on Fridays and collecting all signs on Sunday afternoons.
Media/Production Team
This team assists in the production of the overall worship experience, using lights, cameras, and other visual elements.

Connect Group Leaders
This team is trained to facilitate Connect Groups, and equipped to build relationships while helping group members discover their next steps in their walk with Jesus.
Prayer Team
This team provides prayer covering for services, teams, and ministries at The Refuge Church. They pray over prayer requests, and are available to pray with people during weekend worship experiences, as requested.
Usher Team
This team assists people to their seats, facilitates the offering, gives tours of the building for first time guests, and helps maintain a distraction – free environment.
Facilities & Maintenance Team
This team of volunteers has a passion for the church and its facility. Its purpose is to proactively identify facility needs and maintain the church to be a safe and comfortable environment for people to know Jesus.

Love Loud To Our Community
A nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, inspiring, and empowering Christian discipleship. Narrow Gate equips and trains young men, develops business discipleship platforms, and serves the church locally and globally.
This local nonprofit organization seeks to eliminate hunger by bringing healthy food to people in need. They accomplish this by partnering with local agencies to bring food to places of need and by operating a mobile food pantry every Saturday with the help of volunteers. At these food distributions, anyone can come and receive food, no questions asked.
Storehouse Freezers Meals
This ministry provides frozen cooked meals for those in need through The Refuge Church.

Love Loud to the World
Trezo
Trezò is a Haitian Creole word that means “treasures.” Trezo educates and feeds children in an indigenous context, and provides material to support and train their families for success. Students learn the bible at day school and attend after school bible time (connect group) once a week.
The Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child collects shoebox gifts—filled with fun toys, school supplies, and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way.
We are always finding and adding opportunities to serve with our time, treasure, and talent.
